Design can be a lot of things. But it’s not just about aesthetics. As Apple CEO Steve Jobs once put it, “Design is how it works”. At Agens, we put a lot of effort into making sure that our design solutions suit the needs of our clients- hoping to accomplish more than just giving a web site or a logo a simple facelift. Our mission is to craft a design that complies with a concrete strategy, helping our client to strengthen a solid and appropriate graphic identity- and to communicate a message by design.
We are experienced in several design fields. Agens has made visual identities, traditional print designs, editorial design for web and user interface / mobile application design. Through this diversity we feel equipped to solve your visual needs, whatever they might be.

Agens has been involved in several editorial design projects over the last few years, including work for big Norwegian magazines such as aftenposten.no/reise, tu.no and e24.no. There are many elements to a successful visual appearance on the web. The single most important asset is a company’s own experiences with the current web site in terms of analytics and user feedback. We enjoy having close partnerships with our clients. Their knowledge of intended audience, the editorial objectives and the strategy of their product is crucial to a successful design solution. Our job is to extract this information and making it come alive by making a design that not only looks good, but also serves the clients’ needs.

At Agens, we are familiar with designing user interfaces for different environments. Every successful game and application comes with a fitting interface design. Having produced a vast array of games UI’s and other kinds of user interfaces, we have the knowledge needed for a well structured layout in confined or restricted environments. We also know that there are goals to achieve besides mere pleasant looks and simple navigation. For example, in an advergame it is crucial to lead the user to make choices that benefit the client/product at hand. When an advergame produces both a high number of games played and a trigger a planned and wanted action, we have succeeded – not only with the gameplay – but also with the interface design. By being involved in several new media projects for handheld devices, we also know how to make a web site or an application come alive in spite of the limited pixel estate.

By “design” we mean the process of creating the visual aspect of a website, logo, brochure and the like. At Agens our design practices span from visual identity and traditional print design to game interface and mobile application design.
The results are crucial, but the process is also important. What can you expect from us? More
